Well here it is Sunday at 8:01 p.m. and I do not have a blog post for Monday. I checked through my drafts and nothing feels right for publication.
So off I go looking through different books for ideas searching for something that will get your week off to a good start. After all it is Monday, a new day and a beginning of a new week.
I happen to pick up my copy of “Poems that will Save your Life, Inspirational verse by the world’s greatest writers to motivate, strengthen and bring comfort in difficult times” and found this poem.
May it set your attitude for the week.
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.
